Steak rubs are perfect for when you want a different flavor than usual. If done correctly, rubs can enhance the natural taste of steak to give you an extra shot of spice in every bite.
Herb Steak Rub Recipe
- 4 10 oz ribeye steaks
- 3 tsp ground black pepper
- 2 tsp Sea salt
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp dried minced onion
- 2 tbsp dried oregano
- 2 tbsp dried rosemary
- 2 tbsp dried thyme
- 1 tbsp paprika
If using your own dried herbs, like rosemary and thyme, chop them as finely as possible.
Mix together the herbs and spices in a small bowl.
Sprinkle a generous amount of herb rub onto each piece of meat and use your hands to rub it into the meat, covering all areas.
Allow rub to sit on the meat for about 15 minutes before cooking using your desired method.
Store all leftover rub in an airtight container in a cool, dry, dark cabinet.
